To our Christian friends who are observing Good Friday today, we hope you enjoy this Byzantine hymn that is sung in all of Greece this evening, when the Epitafios, the symbol of Christ’s funeral bier, is decorated with flowers and taken out in processions in every town and village with everyone joining Mary, Christ's mother, in her mourning: "Oh, my sweet spring, my sweetest child, where has your beauty gone?"
